These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CapableTalent platform at capabletalent.com (the "Platform"), operated by CapableTalent ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Platform. By using the Platform you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

If you are using the Platform on behalf of a company or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Notify us immediately at support@capabletalent.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may not create accounts by automated means, create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, or impersonate any person or entity.

Candidate Rules

As a candidate using the Platform you agree to:

  • Provide truthful, accurate information in your profile and applications
  • Not misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or identity
  • Apply only to roles you are genuinely interested in and qualified for
  • Not submit the same application multiple times for the same role
  • Treat employers and platform staff with professionalism and respect

Employer Rules

Employers and recruiters posting jobs on the Platform agree to:

  • Post only genuine, current vacancies with accurate descriptions and salary information
  • Not post discriminatory, misleading, or fraudulent job listings
  • Use candidate data solely for evaluating applications for the role advertised
  • Not resell or share candidate data with third parties without consent
  • Comply with all applicable employment and data protection laws

Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Platform without our written consent
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its infrastructure
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or any harmful code
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Post spam, unsolicited messages, or misleading content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform
  • Use the Platform to conduct fraudulent recruitment or scam job seekers

Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including the CapableTalent name, logo, design, code, and text — is owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

By submitting content to the Platform (such as your profile, CV, or application materials) you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and use that content to operate and improve the Platform and to share it with employers you apply to.

Third-Party Links & Services

The Platform may contain links to external websites or integrate third-party services (e.g. Google Sign-In). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or reliability of any third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies.

Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not guarantee that job listings are accurate, that applications will result in interviews or offers, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are a platform connecting candidates with employers — we are not a party to any employment contract between them.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CapableTalent shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform — including loss of employment opportunities, loss of data, or loss of profits — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other legitimate reason. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
